Performance and quality of PVC board
PVC sheet is a kind of vacuum plastic absorption film, which is used for the surface packaging of various types of panels, so it is also called decorative film and adhesive film, which is used in building materials, packaging, medicine and many other industries. PVC board (pVC laminate, PVC extrusion board), of which the building materials industry accounts for 60%, followed by the packaging industry, as well as a number of other small-scale applications.

PVC board performance:
General performance PVC resin is a white or light yellow powder with a relative density of 1.35-1.45. The degree of softness and hardness of the product can be adjusted by adding the number of parts of plasticizer. The water absorption and permeability of pure PVC are very low.
Mechanical properties PVC has high hardness and mechanical properties. It increases with the increase of molecular weight, but decreases with the increase of temperature. Rigid PVC has good mechanical properties, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000MPa. The elasticity of soft PVC is 1.5-15 MPa. However, the elongation at break is as high as 200% - 450%. PVC has general friction, with static friction coefficient of 0.4-0.5 and dynamic friction coefficient of 0.23.
Thermal properties The thermal stability of PVC is very poor. It begins to decompose at 140 ℃ and the melting temperature is 160 ℃. The linear expansion coefficient of PVC is small, and it has flame retardancy. The oxidation index is higher than 45.
Electrical properties PVC is a polymer with good electrical properties, but its electrical properties are not as good as PP and PE due to its large properties. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent and volume resistivity are large, and the corona resistance is poor, which is generally suitable for medium and low voltage and low frequency edge materials.
Environmental performance PVC (pVC laminate, PVC extrusion plate) can withstand most inorganic acids, alkalis, salts and most organic solvents. Suitable for medicine and chemical anti-corrosion materials.
The specific quality of PVC board is as follows:
1. Look at its external gloss: the poor gloss is recycled plastic, not PVC board
2. Resistance: The resistance of recycled plastics is much worse.
3. Look at its cutting surface: there will be miscellaneous materials with different colors inside the recycled plastic after cutting.
4. Density: Throw it into the water to see if it floats on the water. Most of the regenerated ones sink to the bottom.
5. Heating and welding: there will be smoke when the recycled plastic is welded.
6. Light transmittance: PVC board has good light transmittance.
