Production and processing of UHMWPE sheet

Because the molecular chain of UHMWPE is winding, with high viscosity and almost no fluidity, it is very difficult to process. It is difficult to process products with ordinary processing equipment.
At present, the processing of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) sheet is mostly by sintering molding method, and plunger extrusion method is also used, but the output is very low.
The following production processes are generally used when the molding method is used to produce UHMWPE sheets:
1. Selection of raw materials
The quality of plate products depends on the quality of raw materials. Select high-quality raw materials with a molecular weight of more than 3 million, use scientific formula, and use reasonable technology to obtain high-quality products.
2. Ingredients
First of all, check the performance indicators of raw materials (check the product inspection report), add various additives according to the determined formula proportion and put them into the high-speed mixer, mix the ingredients under a certain pressure and temperature, and fully discharge the water in the raw materials. If there is a requirement for the color of the board, the corresponding pigment shall be added according to the color requirement.
3. Pressure plasticization
Put the mixed raw materials into the mold, add a certain pressure to exhaust the air in the raw materials, add a high temperature to make the blank in the mold plasticize into a transparent paste, and maintain a certain temperature and pressure to make it fully plasticized.
4. Forming
After full plasticization, the temperature is gradually reduced, and high pressure is added at the same time. The lower the temperature, the greater the pressure, until the process requirements are met.
5. Demoulding and shaping
After being taken out of the mold, the plates are manually reshaped and stored for transportation.
